About products and suppliers

Foldable flats are shoes that have softer soles, enabling them to be bent and folded for easy storage and carrying. The soles are mostly made of rubber. These foldable slippers come in handy when packing or when someone needs a change of shoes after a long day of wearing heels. Foldable ballet slippers have existed for hundreds of years, since the 16th century. Back then, these shoes were worn by both men and women.

When are foldable flats used?

Roll-up flats are mostly loved during summer when the sun is out and it is hot outside. Women also like to use foldable slippers for travel. Their compact nature makes them easy to pack into bags and suitcases. This is because folding flats have a very thin heel or look like they have no heel at all.

Types of fold-up flats

Foldable ballet flats are women’s foldable flat shoes that come in many colors and designs. They mostly have a ribbon-like binding across the low top of the shoe. This makes them adjustable and the wearer can tighten them to fit their feet. Foldable flats for purses are easy to carry in a handbag of any size.

How to clean folding ballet flats

Fold-up flat shoes should be cleaned regularly to prevent them from accumulating bad smells. Use mild soap to prevent damaging the shoe. Dishwashing soap is a great option for cleaning folding flat shoes. Put a few drops of dishwashing soap into some warm water (about one cup). Mix it until it gets sudsy. Place a sponge into the mixture and wipe down the surface of the foldable-ballet slippers thoroughly. Then rinse the sponge in running water and clean off the surface again to remove any sudsy water residue remaining on the shoe’s surface. Finally, use a soft towel to dry the foldable-ballet slippers off and prevent scratching damage.
