Inflatable balls are an evergreen favorite for summertime and outdoor games. They come in many forms and sizes and can be used in different ways to entertain both kids and adults.

Inflatable balls for the beach

An inflatable beach ball usually features the characteristic paneled design divided into colored vertical parts alternating with white lines. Its large size and light weight make it a fun toy children can throw at each other on the beach or in water.

Large and mini beach balls are usually made of soft plastic and have two circular parts at the ends: one of these hosts a valve for inflating and deflating the ball by hand or by pump. They are extremely safe balls to play with and can be used to play water polo and volleyball even in crowded places, as their soft plastic can cause no harm.

Bumper balls

Also known as an inflatable bubble ball, a bumper ball is a large ball usually made of PVC that can be worn as a uniform to play games like soccer or sumo. Despite being an inflatable item, this one is not meant to be used at the beach or near the water.

This huge bubble surrounds the player through a system of shoulder straps similar to a backpack. It covers their head and torso entirely, leaving only the leg exposed to provide the possibility of running and maximum safety during the game. Bumper balls come in adult and child sizes and it’s important to purchase one of the right dimensions as it should be able to fit the person correctly.

Human hamster balls

Also called Zorb balls, these humongous inflatable balls are designed to contain an entire person as they feature an inner diameter of about 6 feet and an outer diameter of around 10 feet.

These human hamster balls are usually made of Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) and Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) and feature a door tunnel through which the user can enter the inner chamber. Once inside, the entrance hole of the inflatable ball is closed with a zipper so that the person can stand and start to walk. Inside, there is enough air for one person to survive for two to three hours.

It is a very resistant device used to walk (or roll) down hills and even walk on water.
