About products and suppliers

Plastic glue is a substance that joins various types of plastic materials together. The adhesive properties in the substance enable it to effectively merge two plastic parts without the aid of machinery or other bonding techniques like soldering or welding. Plastic glues are also called plastic adhesives or plastic cement. Their application is easy. The glue is added to the surface of the materials and, upon contact, it slightly melts the surface where it is being used. And as the materials are pressed, they join one another naturally. This process forms a solid and durable bond. Furthermore, a plastic-to-plastic glue can improve the bonding process of a plastic material.

Plastic glues for plastic-to-plastic bonding

Several types of glue can join plastics together, but only a few can form permanent bonds on those plastics. Out of all of them, the plastic epoxy glue might be the strongest glue for plastics, being specially designed to create a solid and long-lasting bond on plastics. This kind of epoxy glue for plastic is a great bonding agent, even for materials like PVC, acrylic, FRP, polycarbonate, and other plastics. Cyanoacrylate is also considered a great option for a super glue for plastic. It provides swift and precise plastic-to-plastic bonding. The glue strengthens when it comes in contact with a small amount of water, forming a plastic mesh. This mesh helps to keep the bond solid and durable.

Plastic glues for plastic-to-metal bonding

Epoxy is also considered a good base for a metal-to-plastic glue. It is a valuable tool for plastic repairs, having a thick and dense texture, which helps it form a solid plastic-to-metal bond. The glue can take a few hours to completely dry after application, but it creates a robust and durable bond even with other materials like paper, ceramic, stone, metal, rubber, etc. Industrial polyethylene glue is another strong binder for plastics and metals. Polyethylene carries a simple polymer structure. The structure has a recurring polymer of two covalently bonded carbon atoms, which are responsible for the glue's strength.

Plastic glues for hard plastic bonding

FRP glue (Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic) is another good bonding agent, especially for hard surfaces. This option is ideal for complex plastic bonding. It doesn't have much of a smell and has high adhesive strength. This adhesive is great for bonding materials like FRP panels to drywall, non-treated plywood, green board, concrete, concrete backer board, and other popular porous building materials.
