About products and suppliers

A pouch bag is a moderate-size bag designed to store or transport goods. They come in different sizes and types according to uses and are also referred to as purses. The pencil pouch, for example, is designed to store pencils, coin pause coins and a tool pouch for tools. Pouch bags could also be made of solid or flexible materials. Such materials are mostly resalable, environmentally friendly and cheaper than traditional alternatives like metal, glass or plastic.

What are Pouches Used for?

Pouch bags can be used for several types of industrial packaging including organic food, wheat flour, tea and domestic uses like make up bags, shoe bags for travel, and hanging toiletry bags. You can literally store any portable thing you wish in the comfort of your home or while travelling.

What are the Different Types of Pouches?

Pouches are classified into two major categories – stand-up pouches like phone purses and flat-bottom pouches like travel cosmetic bags. Stand-up pouches are designed to be able to stand upright on their bottom, while flat pouches need to be laid down flat just like their respective names imply.

However, both categories are further classified into several types depending on their mode of storage, shape, design intention and material build. Some manufacturers make a bit of both, hence, Klein tool bags and Louis Vuitton coin purses are for sale on the market today.

Bottom Gusset Pouch

Arguably the most commonly used stand-up pouch, this type of bag is suitable for lightweight objects. Essentially, it is a sealed plastic pouch with round bottom designed to help it stand upright as the edges of the gusset it sealed to the sides of the walls for better support and strength. Many travel makeup bags make use of this design.

Pillow Pouches

Pillow pouches are one of the most common types of flat pouches used in the market today. Just as the name implies, it takes the shape of a pillow and consists of a top, bottom and back seal. The back seal extends to the bottom length of the pouch, hence the popular name – Back or T-Seal pouch. The top side is left open for filling the pouch with content.
