About products and suppliers

A roller brush makes quick work of many DIY projects from painting to vacuuming and more. A paint roller brush helps you achieve thin, even, and uniform coats of paint much faster and easier than a traditional paintbrush. A foam roller brush is best for larger jobs like painting ceilings, walls, and large pieces of furniture. Not only does a paint roller brush cover more area, but the porous material of most foam roller brushes holds more paint than a regular paint brush, distributing even layers quickly and smoothly.

How to Paint with a Roller Brush

Using a roller brush for painting is fairly easy, as long as you have the right tools and supplies. In addition to the foam roller brush, you’ll need a paint roller brush painting handle tool, which can be long or short. You’ll also need a pan to hold your paint and drop cloths to cover any nearby surfaces and the floor.

The first step is to prep the room you’re painting and the surface. Once this is done, pour the paint into the pan and choose the length of your painting handle. Broomsticks and mop handles that unscrew can easily be screwed into a roller brush, instantly creating a long handle that provides length and ease of use. Some paint roller brushes come with a shorter handle for smaller jobs like painting furniture. Now, roll the foam roller brush into the paint back and forth several times, giving the brush time to absorb the paint before applying it to the surface in long, smooth, even strokes.

Other Types of Roller Brushes

Roller brush technology is used for more than just painting. For example, a vacuum roller brush is found in most vacuum cleaners and equipped with stiff bristles that rotate when the vacuum is turned on. A Bissell roller brush and similar brands work by collecting dirt, dust, and debris from the floor, and pulling them into the vacuum’s canister for disposal later.

A roller brush hair dryer uses a rotating brush with bristles to blow dry and style your hair at the same time. A hair dryer roller brush dries and smooths out frizz simultaneously. Manual hair roller brushes are shaped like a cylinder and used for styling various types of hair, whereas automatic hair roller brushes are electric and rotate with the push of a button.
