About products and suppliers

A suit cover or garment bag is a casing made of flexible material used to protect and store clothing safely. It is a zippered bag to hold the clothes and protect the fabric from exterior elements.

Usage of suit covers

Suit covers are used extensively for protecting, transporting, and organizing clothes, particularly formal dresses. Suit cover bags facilitate transportation of suits and protect them from natural elements like dust and stains while keeping them fairly wrinkle-free. Dress protector bags are essential for carrying formal dresses and allow the display of designer wear as they enclose clothes in a protective layer. Besides wrinkle and crease protection, garment bag covers are also helpful for closet organization. They keep the wardrobe neat by creating a designated space for each suit. They also make it easy to identify and retrieve clothes. Delicate dresses need extra care and protection, so they are kept in proper dress covers before transport or storage. Hangers, handles, and carrying straps provide added convenience to the users. Clothing covers can also act as a barrier to prevent dust and dirt particles from settling on clothes. They are also used for long-term storage for seasonal clothing or formal wear that isn't used frequently. Most have transparent panels to view clothes. This helps with color coordination or labeling, making organizing and locating specific suits or garments in the closet easier.

Materials of garment bags

Suit cover bags should be breathable yet waterproof, dustproof, and sturdy enough to support the weight of heavier garments. This ensures garments have proper ventilation while keeping moisture and moths at bay. The coat cover bag usually has a zipper or easy closure mechanism to make organization and storage easier for the users. Most of the time, the material of choice for a suit protector bag is cotton or canvas because they allow ventilation while keeping the clothes from damage. Canvas is sturdier and has higher quality than cotton. Nylon and polyester are water-resistant and durable materials that keep moisture from seeping into the garment bags. A cheaper alternative is non-woven polypropylene, which provides sufficient protection while being lightweight. For transparency and easy viewing, plastic and vinyl garment bags are preferred. For more protection and high-end luxurious clothes, quilted or leather dress covers provide added durability.

Different sizes of clothing covers

As clothes come in various sizes and styles, so do suit covers that wrap them. Many standard sizes are available in garment bags specifically for dresses or suits, with lengths ranging from 36 inches to 54 inches. Children's dress covers are smaller. Meanwhile, coat covers are usually longer to accommodate the coat length. They go up to 72 inches. Further, for extra-long clothes like gowns and maxis, longer covers are specifically designed to accommodate the full gown. Many suit cover manufacturers offer size guides and customization to make the selection easier.
