About products and suppliers

Marketing has moved to videos and moving pictures, even outdoors. This is evident with the increasing usage of video walls for advertising.

What is a video wall?

A video wall is a large display system made up of multiple monitors or screens that are tiled together to create a single large display. They are commonly used in public spaces, such as airports, shopping malls, and conference centers, as well as in control rooms, command centers, and other professional settings where real-time information needs to be displayed. Video walls can be used to display a variety of content, including video, images, and data. They can be controlled by a central computer or by individual monitors and can be configured to display a single image or multiple images across multiple screens.

How are video walls made?

The process of making a video wall for marketing purposes is a relatively involved process. Done right, however, it can have a massive impact on the brand recognition of the company which commissioned the work. The process starts with a product owner deciding on the content to be displayed on a video wall. They then consult an advertising company to make decisions, such as whether to use a LED video wall or an LCD video wall. The hardware usually dictates which video wall controller or video wall processor is used. Finally, the video wall digital signage is installed for viewing.

What are some examples and types of video walls?

Video walls come in a variety of types depending on a user's needs. DIY video walls, such as TV video walls, can be put together by someone with intermediate skills. These displays can serve as an avenue for entertainment or display CCTV camera feeds for security. A popular video wall size for marketing companies is the 200-inch video wall. These can fit on most building surfaces and bring marketing messages closer to a target audience's eyeballs. Also popular are LED video wall panels which display images that are bright enough to be seen even in the midday sun. Unlike LCD panels, this type of video wall is also less easily damaged.
