This Solar Landscape Light is used for lighting up carpark areas, courtyards, outdoor patios for residential as well as commercial applications.
It saves energy, is almost maintenance free, automatically switches on/off and is has an appealing design. There is no connection to mains electricity supply, only power by the 12V or 11.1V battery which is charged by the solar panel, so there is almost no running cost. The Solar Landscape Light has one LED light with 42 super bright LED’s in each bulbs. The Solar Landscape Light is made from die-cast aluminum and the battery box/panel bracket from ABS plastic reducing the ability to rust. The battery is a standard 12V 7Ah lead acid rechargeable battery or high quality Lithium battery pack 11.1V 8Ah which is easily replaceable. The solar module is a 11W panel. The unit is easily installed ,no wire needed and free-maintenance,Waterproof IP65 rating for outdoor use.

The Solar Landscape Light will automatically switch on when it’s dark enough. The light will shine at full capacity for approximately five hours on a full charge, thereafter the controller will switch the light brightness to around 50% brightness in order to save battery power and extend the lighting time. When turning the switch on, the unit will respond after 5 seconds. If it senses that there is no sunlight on the panel,the light will turn on, if there is light on the panel, the light will not no.
There are two settings for the switch:
I – Operation to charge the battery and run the lights
O – Turns the unit completely off, there is no charging nor lights on this setting
NOTES AND TROUBLESHOOTING
Before first use, leave the switch in the I position for two days to give the battery a full charge. The battery will be approximately 60% charged when you purchase the light so it will need a top up before first use.
If there is not enough sunlight on the solar panel, the solar lamp may not charge, please ensure that the Solar Landscape Light is placed in a position where there is at least 5 hours of sunlight a day.
If there is too much ambient light, the Solar Landscape Light will not activate as it will assume that it is not dark enough.
Please keep the solar panel clean by wiping it once every few months with a damp cloth or paper towel. Don’t use strong detergents or acid based cleaners.
Rainy and cloudy conditions over continuous days will also affect the charging ability of the light.
BATTERY MAINTENANCE AND REPLACEMENT
Batteries should not be stored unless fully charged. Storing a battery on an empty charge will destroy it. If you are going to turn the unit off for a long period of time, please charge the unit on the Isetting for about 20 hours and then turn the switch to O (off).
If you are storing the unit for a long period of time, the Solar Landscape Light has to be recharged at least every three months. The battery will discharge slowly when it’s being stored and in order to avoid it being damaged, you will need to charge it.
If the battery begins to illuminate dimly or for short durations of time and you know that it has had sufficient sunlight on the panel in order to charge, you should replace the battery in the following way:
Unscrew the screws from the bottom of the battery box.
Take out the old battery carefully without damaging the cables.
Replace the new battery and remount the unit.
WARNING – Polarity is very important. Remember that the red cable goes onto the Positive lug of the battery and the blue or black cable goes onto the Negative lug on the battery. Switching polarity on the unit is dangerous and will destroy the unit.
