About products and suppliers

2-inch ball valves are simple mechanical devices that make it easy to control the flow of fluids and gases through piping systems. 2-inch ball valves are cost-efficient and convenient for industrial usage. The characteristics of 2-inch PVC ball valves and 2-inch brass ball valves make them a great choice for a variety of environments and industries. But considering specifications and materials, 2-inch ball valves may not be suitable in specific settings. For example, if the internal diameter of the hose is close to 2" or if the external diameter of the male thread is close to 2", then a 2" ball valve is needed.

Factors to consider when choosing 2-inch ball valves

When choosing 2-inch shut-off valves, the material of the valve should be compatible with the fluid media being used for the application. Common ones include 2-inch brass ball valves, which are suitable for neutral and non-corrosive media. Besides, brass is relatively more durable and resistant to high temperatures. However, if salt water, distilled water, acids, and chlorides are involved, 2-inch PVC ball valves would be an ideal choice. The temperature and pressure range of 2-inch PVC valves is lower than that of brass and stainless steel.

Advantages of 2-inch ball valves

2-inch brass ball valves are efficient and convenient to use due to their simple quarter-turn operation. 2-inch PVC valves are relatively lightweight and small in size, allowing them to be installed and removed without much effort. The simplistic design of 2-inch PVC ball valves means that they require less maintenance compared to other types of valves. As the ball valve stem rotates with no axial movement, the packing seal of the 2" ball valve stem is not easily worn or broken. When it comes to repairing, 2-inch PVC valves are also easy to disassemble and replace worn parts. Another bonus of a 2-inch ball valve is that it is more affordable compared to complex valve types.
