About products and suppliers

Beaded fabric is a clothing material made from a combination of beads and other materials like lace, silk, or linen. Beaded lace may be used to adorn a dress at the edges or be woven into the entire length of the fabric. Beads can also be stuck to the fabric like stones or attached to the cloth like embroidery. Beaded material comes in different styles such as French beaded embroidery and African tulle lace fabric. Beaded tulle fabrics combined with beautiful sequins look chic and elegant. Many beaded mesh fabrics are designed strictly for weddings and bride attire, while others can be worn to any event. Beaded fabrics are now available in bulk for bridal sewing projects.

How Do You Attach a Beaded Fabric to a Wedding Dress?

Attaching beads to a dress one after another is time-consuming. It is better to purchase the beaded mesh fabric and sew or glue it to the wedding gown. When attaching beads to lace material, choose light beads that will not pull the lace fabric or make it sag. Space the bead patterns evenly and follow straight lines while sewing the beads. Maintain a firm tension and avoid pulling the thread too tightly, so the fabric does not get wrinkled.

How Do You Wash a Beaded Dress?

Some pearl beaded fabrics are washable, while others can only be dry cleaned. If the beads are attached with glue, dry cleaning solutions may melt them, so examine the garment or fabric label carefully. White beaded fabrics are best cleaned by freshening and spot cleaning. Putting the entire garment in water can cause the garment to shrink and some of the fibers and beads may come apart. Instead, use a dampened lint-free cloth and mild detergent solution to wipe any dirty parts of the garment.

How Do You Iron a Dress Made of Beaded Fabric?

Beaded sequin fabrics are sensitive to heat. Do not allow the hot iron to touch beads, sequins, stones, or crystals. Use a press cloth to iron black beaded lace fabric. Create a press cloth by cutting an old pure cotton T-shirt into a 4" by 4" square. Place the press cloth on the beaded fabric, and put the hot iron on the press cloth. Always choose the right heat setting for the type of fabric. Nylon and polyester fabrics require lower heat, while pure cotton and linen can take more heat.
