About products and suppliers

A mini round baler is a specialized machine that is used in agriculture to work with mowed rows of grass: a mechanism picks and presses the hay while also rolling it with a net or twine and subsequently pushes the hay bale onto the ground. The use of mini hay balers leads to a reduction in labor costs, in the time required for hay harvesting, and to a simplification of transportation and storage of the finished product.

Mini round hay balers are in great demand among business owners and farmers and are considered essential equipment for companies engaged in the field of processing and forage harvesting. A small round baler can be paired with other machinery such as tractors or presses and it allows to work in any size areas — it is convenient to handle small fields where large equipment is difficult to maneuver.

Types of mini round balers

Every agricultural producer can buy a miniature round baler and start operating the machine to simplify the haymaking process significantly. However, it is important to consider the design features of the equipment since mini balers can form compressed products of different shapes, weights, and sizes.

Some miniature hay balers can press dry material into bulk rolls. In contrast, others produce the finished products in the form of compact rectangular bales that are more convenient to store and transport.

Characteristics of a mini hay baler

Most small hay balers don't have a built-in engine connected to their wheels and thus cannot move on their own – they are hooked up to tractors using a three-point system with lower and upper levers and carried around.

While in movement, the so-called pickup fingers rotate, lifting the mowed grass and moving it into the chamber, where it is pressed and secured with twine. The versatility of the mechanism allows for the collection of both dry and wet grass. When the hay bale is ready, an audible signal notifies the users that they can open the pickup lid using a hydraulic system connected to a lever. In some cases, the miniature hay baler features an automatic system that drops the bale on the ground once it's ready without the intervention of an operator.

Mini round hay balers make it possible to prepare animal food and make neat small bales of about 30x20 inches. To form a bale, most models can pick up grass with a stem length of at least 2.5 inches. Regarding the speed of use, in an hour, approximately 0.1 hectares of land can be harvested at a speed of 1.5 to 3 mph.
