Notebooks have been people's company in need on the journey of education and beyond since they were invented. There are different types of notebook papers, and they can be used to take notes, write journals, draw pictures, etc.

Types of notebooks

There are a lot of notebook types that have been made to satisfy users' needs. Composition notebooks are commonly designed for students to take notes, do homework, etc. They typically have stitched binding and white pages with blue lines. One of their features is that there is a vertical margin on the left-hand side of the pages. Composition notebooks are mostly hardcover notebooks and are available in several colors. Decomposition notebooks are basically deviations from the former ones but with bright colors, fun prints, and smart designs. Additionally, their binding is durable and strong enough for daily use. Softcover notebooks are lighter. They can be bent so users can pack them tightly into a folder or a bag and they make flipping through pages convenient. Leather notebooks can be softcover or hardcover. They are durable, sturdy, and have a good visual appeal. Spiral notebooks are another conventional type of notebook. They are favored by a lot of people because they can lie flat, which provides an even surface for writing or drawing. Moreover, spiral notebooks can be folded in half, which means they take up less space on a table than other notebooks. There are also left-handed notebooks. Designed for left-handers, they open from left to right with the spiral on the right side so users can write without pressing their wrists into the spiral.

Notebook papers and their functions

Notebooks can be divided into multiple types according to the functions they have. Agenda notebooks have calendars printed on the pages for users to write down their plans. Notebook paper with a dot grid is popular for writing in journals because the dots offer a balanced structure and open space.
